A common destination of routes through Colombia is the Tayrona National Park. Located right between the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the Caribbean Sea, the Tayrona is a place of contrasting landscapes. Green mountains slowly become drier as they decrease in inclination. Then, large stones appear in the picture, next to sandy beaches that merge the land with the sea.
Regardless of whether you want to relax or do some dynamic activities, this place has something to offer you. Do you feel like getting up early to observe colorful birds along the hills of the park? Or how about a multi-day hike through the rainforest until finding the archeological site of the Ciudad Perdida? You can also have lunch with an indigenous community while listening to their legends; relax to the sound of waves breaking on the beach while watching the sunset; or look at the coral reefs while snorkeling in the crystal-clear water.
